  • 1 package Hereford Shredded Beef with Broth
  • 1 TBL cooking oil
  • 1 Cup diced red onion
  • 1 can pinto or black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 ½ TBL taco seasoning
  • 2/3 Cup water
  • 2 servings of cooked rice, quinoa, or your favorite grain (cauliflower rice is a great low carb option)
  • 1/2 Cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Canned or fresh sliced jalapeños
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 1 jar favorite salsa
  • Fresh chopped cilantro for serving


  1. In a medium skillet, add oil and onion. Cook over medium high heat until fragrant.
  2. Add Hereford Shredded Beef with Broth, beans, and taco seasoning. Stir to combine.
  3. Add water and heat through.
  4. Distribute rice equally into two bowls. Top with heated beef and beans and all the sauce.
  5. Top with cheese. Garnish with sliced jalapeños, avocado, salsa, and cilantro.
