Ground Beef Lasagna

Ingredients:

  • 2 packages Hereford Ground Beef Crumbles
  • 1 24oz jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 15oz container ricotta cheese
  • 2 TBL parmesan
  • 1 TBL dried parsley
  • 6 oven ready lasagna noodles, or cooked lasagna noodles trimmed to 9’’
  • 1 6oz bag shredded mozzarella

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. In a microwave-safe mixing bowl, heat Hereford Ground Beef Crumbles for one minute to soften, then add sauce and combine.
  3. In another mixing bowl, whisk egg and then add ricotta, parmesan, and parsley. Stir to combine well.
  4. In a 9’’ x 9’’ pan, layer each ingredient starting with a thin layer of sauce. Top with two noodles side by side, 1/3 sauce and then 1/3 ricotta. Start next layer with noodles layer in opposite direction then follow same layering order. Make one more layer with the rest of the noodles, sauce, and cheese.
  5. Sprinkle with mozzarella and cover with foil. Bake for 35 minutes.
  6. Remove foil and place back in oven for another 15 minutes or until cheese has melted and starts to turn golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool for 8-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
